How long does it take to get a FL driver's license from the day you apply?

I am a US citizen. I've been living and working in Denmark for a long time. Now it's time to move back to the US where I can afford to retire.

First thing I need to do is get a driver's license. I really didn't need one in Denmark and my last State license expired about 10 years ago. So, I guess I'll have to start from scratch and take all the tests.

I will have all the documentation I need (a lot!).

My question is: How long does it generally take from the day you first apply for the license (in my specific case) and the day you receive it?

Thanks for you replies.

call the closest dmv and make a appointment to take the written and driving test.

make sure you have social security card, certified birth certificate or passport if you are female marriage certificate and you'll probably need to establish residency by utility bill, insurance certificate trust deed ,etc

good luck the process isn't bad bring your check book or credit cards

You receive it the same day. After you take your picture it's like 5 minutes.
