Why is there a sub-forum on here for Ocala, but not one for Gainesville? Gainesville is a larger, more diverse city, with a internationally known flagship university that alone has almost as many people as Ocala. No offense to Ocala either, great town, but Gainesville quite simply just has alot more going on and going for it. It makes no sense that there would be an Ocala sub-forum on here and no Gainesville sub-forum.

I don't know why either. The forum should be Ocala/Gainesville combined as they are linked economically to each other with a lot of people regularly commuting back and forth for jobs and shopping and such.

Gainesville might be a larger city but Marion county is larger than alachua county.I have no idea why they would only put ocala on here but i guess that is just it.

Yeah but does Marion county offer half of what Alachua county offers outside of proximity to the bay?

It does not make much sense at all. At a minimum they should be combined.

I think there would be no increase in the costs of running this form if they were separate, so why not ask the administrator to add a new form.

Exactly, I was looking for a Gainesville forum but couldn't find one. We can tell the admin of city data is not a Floridian, to leave Gainseville out ..smh

I don't think the administrators go by the size of the town or city. They go by the number of posts and demand.

That's my observation as well.

If there are more threads about Gainesville, than they open up a new forum for it.
