I don't mean to offend anyone, but Maclo doesn't cut it. The one in Fayetteville is the best but it's not good enough to make people drive from Rogers/Bentonville to see a movie there. The old Malco in Rogers is horrible. This weekend there was crackling in the speakers. The restrooms are inadequate and that's when they are actually working. It's old and dirty. The Malco at the promenade is decent but very often doesn't have the new popular release. For example, last week they weren't showing Star Trek. NWA isn't a small town and in the theater business, you either keep up or get left behind. I would love to see. Warren theater be built in Springdale by Arvest ballpark. The location would be convenient for all and it could become an entertainment-type district for Springdale. I know this sounds like a first world problem complaint, but I don't think I'm alone in this feeling.

Not being a movie goer, I guess this never dawned on me. All I know, is, supposedly there is a decent one in S. Springs and we have one here in Bella Vista. The movies are usually new releases I thought.

It will be interesting to see how others feel. You could be right.

The Malco in Fayetteville is fairly new and has several screens. It's as nice as anything I've seen here in the Pensacola area. MEH
I don't go to movies very often any more what with all that is on the movie channels on tv. Honestly, some of the shows on tv now are better than going to a movie and I don't have to put up with people talking and interrupting the show.

or texting the whole world. We rarely go to the movies. In fact I am thinking, like so many other things. the old fashion movie era could be coming to an end.

I rarely go to movies anymore myself. Racking my brain, I think the last one I saw was in 2013, and I can't remember the title! However I agree that a Warren type theater would be good here. I used to live in Norman OK, and just above Norman is Moore and they had a theater that was massive, had special auditoriums, Imax, and special seating theaters where you could drink alcohol and order food from your seat. Something like that I believe would do well here.

The Dallas area had one like that as well. Not the way I remember movies when I was a kid and certainly not the same price as what we paid.

The last time I went to a movie theater was in 2003! Why would anyone want to go to a crowded theater with super overpriced concessions when they can have a 100x better high definition viewing experience at home?

Our family enjoys the Pinnacle and Scottsdale Malco. I've been to some bigger theaters in other states, but can't imagine why these wouldn't be suitable.

Obviously it's not a priority for a lot of people in this forum. However if you go to a warren, not only will the speakers not be crackling and the toilets broken, but they have waiters that take your order and bring real food, (hamburgers, sandwiches, etc) and alcoholic drinks. I watch the majority of movies from my home. However when I go out, I expect to enjoy my experience and get something that I can't get at home. To say that one can't imagine why these Malco theaters aren't suitable is like saying we don't need a Ruth Chris steak house because we already have Applebee's. My point is that this metro area is large enough to support at least one high end theater. Malco, like Applebee's, has its place. I'm just venting my first world problems.
