I watch the majority of movies from my home. However when I go out, I expect to enjoy my experience and get something that I can't get at home. To say that one can't imagine why these Malco theaters aren't suitable is like saying we don't need a Ruth Chris steak house because we already have Applebee's. My point is that this metro area is large enough to support at least one high end theater. Malco, like Applebee's, has its place. I'm just venting my first world problems.
Everyone has his/her views and opinions; thank goodness. I am sure there are many who share your desire for an upscale movie theatre, but it isn't something many really think about. Built it and I am sure the younger population would be very happy. It is like so many of us want Trader Joes and a new larger Aldi's, but to others it isn't a pressing issue.

Sorry, OP.....movie theaters are going the way of the Dodo. I wouldn't hold my breath until one is built to your level of expectations. I'm against a lot of the anti-social changes sweeping the modern world, but the movie viewing experience is not one of them. The advent of the home theater is something I'd been waiting on for a long time, and now that it's here I have zero reason to ever go to a public theater again. At home I can make or get my own food at my own price, and not having to deal with inconsiderate strangers while you're trying to catch a flick is simply awesome. I don't need a screen the size of a house to watch movies on.....my 55 inch LCD is more than ample, and unlike in a theater I can set all the specifications to my liking.

Not saying there's no chance of new theaters coming to NWA.....but if I were an investor I'd see them as an elevated risk in this day & age.

my thoughts exactly: I can't rep you again until I spread it around. Everyone has his/her own priorities.. But I think the days of movie theaters has come and gone.
