I like dreadlocks. Jason Castro on this last season of American Idol made me feel a little Mrs. Robinson-ish.
Funny, the women in my life thought he was disgusting. He was cited as an example of someone who had dreadlocks becuase he nevere bothered to brush or wash his hair. They hated him although they gushed over all of the others.

Absolutely not. I put them in the same category as tattoos and body/eyelid/nose/tongue piercing. Not the slightest interest in people with any of these.

I work in corporate america and have worked in it for the last 10 yrs. I am in the IT field. I have had no problem gaining employment, I am a woman who is 32 yrs of age. Dredlocks is like any other hairstyle if you do not take care of it, wash and maintain it your hair will be dirty. In addition, I have corn rows in my hair as well I know some individuals on this forum called them tasteless, not all women can be endowed with non( to quote Don Imus nappy hair).
I think your hair looks really nice!

So if I were to reject someone due to dreads, then it would be for that reason and not for one of appearance or cleanliness.

True... there is also the rasta pot smoking aspect of dreadlocks too. And I don't enjoy the company of potheads. Dreads do look like marijuana buds. lol

No, I have never liked the look of them on men. There are some women, above picture included, that look good in them, but I just can't go there myself.
Also agree slightly longer hair on a man is nice. I'm thinking hot Italian in an Armani suit with his hair tied back as he hands me a glass of wine.
