The no showing of skin is the super weird part IMO.....the oversized lenses can even come down over the mask a little & they don't sit right & if you have a small bridge...the closer in it touches or overlaps. It's super nerdy looking...JMO tho...so I use my super fun cat eye sunglasses with smaller lenses for now. I hate masks....but....what are we going to do?
If your mask is on right tho......it won't need holding down. Have a sunny day!
I like the extra little protection of not having skin showing between the top of the mask & bottom of the sunglasses & when I say the sunglasses help to "hold down" the mask, not that the mask is ill-fitting, but just to really feel secure & hold the mask in place like this photo. (This isn't me BTW, just an example & I'd have the nose area bent more to the shape of my nose than this.)
Now, these are something we can still wear in these COVID times & they're extra protection too!
What style(s) do you like?
So, how many pairs do you have?
How much do you normally spend on them?
What brands do you like?
Other comments?
I like the oversized style, aviators, & some cat-eye. which I've started liking the last 10 yrs.
I haven't counted but probably have about 20-25 pairs. (I haven't bought any since COVID.)
I like to generally spend about $50 - 75, but I've spent more on a few & try to get pricier ones on sale.
I have quite 2-4 pairs of Tom Fords, Wildfox, Michael Kors, Ray-Bans, & Carreras. Then, various others: DVF, Balenciaga, etc.
I have always been an Oakley guy, but have left behind the sportier shapes for more traditional frames. They get many more compliments from the wife, as well.
Started out in Oakley Flak 2.0:
Mod cut.
Moved up to Oakley Big Taco:

Now finally in an Oakley Holbrook:

I like them for the big lenses that don't let sunlight in as much around the edges. I'm somewhat sensitive to light and they're a fashion brand pair that fits the bill.
True, Oakley's snap-together construction leaves much to be desired. I haven't paid attention to little details after they were bought by Luxottica but I'm sure "belts were tightened".
I have 8+ pairs. All Maui Jims. I used to buy “designer” sunnies, but after trying Maui Jims back in 2005, I haven’t looked back and the company hasn’t given me a reason to.
My sunglasses are from Panama Jack. I have only 1 pair. It is only sunny for a month or 2 at most. The vast majority of my days are cloudy and quite chilly, so I don’t need sunglasses. Summer is pretty much over for us for now. It’s cloudy and drizzly from tonight onwards for the next 2 weeks.
Who needs more than one or two pairs of UV blocking sunglasses? 20+? 50+?
100+ pairs of shoes, dozens of purses, 10 of the same color shirt, dozens of pairs of jeans. Shop, shop, shop, buy, buy, buy.
No wonder some people have continuing trouble managing their money!
Amen.
