Fairly common here. It's a resurgence of a '90s trend that was probably a resurgence of some trend that dates back before the '90s.

More gen X and post-Millenial than Millenial. Maybe with younger Millenials as well. Most us Millenials are in our 30s now and it's more of a trend with teenagers to maybe mid/late 20s than people in their 30s. It never went completely out of style but most Millenials going for that look were edgier than now or the '90s when it was a mainstream trend.

Um...not really just teenagers tho...some of us that are in our 30s....(I’m 31)..single & no kids....love fashion trends! Paris Hilton is 38 & wears grandpa jeans....BUT yuck... I don’t like them. We can love fashion....but we don’t have to love everything...we know what we like & what looks good on our bodies.....

It’s not really age IMO......teens usually can’t afford or want the looks from the runways......& they will wear stuff differently. Trending camo that a teen wears is going to be different than how a 30 yr old puts it together.....or what pieces she puts together......

It’s all in making it yours & what you do with it.....it’s not just grabbing a pair of jeans off the rack & putting it on because it’s trendy........or because of how old you are.....

Some of the pics I've seen are pretty stylish, imo.

It takes a certain style/attitude to pull this look off, along with the right accessories. Otherwise, you'll just look frumpy.

My hubby is a grandpa. He’s still fit, but it’s about getting around the tummy, but not being baggy in the butt.
Levi’s 514.

I can't tell the dif between grandpa jeans and mom jeans. I just know the first time I saw my teenage granddaughters in them I was like.... wha??? really?? That's the style we've all been avoiding since I could remember.

Mom jeans are baggy on the back & thighs & tummy but are more tapered at the waist & ankle. Grandpa jeans are straight & loose & worn in a slouchier fit....just like boyfriend jeans. They also have some "grandpa" detailing like carpenter handles on the sides............
