First time OP, if you ever return to check this thread, I'll post a thoughtful response. *rolls eyes*
Actually, if you look at some of the popular designers, they are. In fact, they're making dresses that are the same length as a lot of tunics, these days.
No. No stipulations. Women should wear what they want.
While I somehow agree with that statement, women who care about their look should wear clothes that compliment their shape. A little self-criticism goes a long way.
More often than not, I see ladies wearing totally wrong sizes or design that makes them look grotesque and not chic at all. Not to mention that often I feel offended by their look when they reveal more than they cover, especially when they show too much of the aging skin.
I also noticed that (some) women (actually men too) the older they get the more infantile clothes they wear... And that regardless of their body shape too...
Like women past, say, 35 and wearing t-shirts saying " I am cutie", "Sassy girl", "I am your Barbie" etc.
I am 45 yet admittedly wear shorter things. Since I was a cheer leader in high school I do spend a lot of time exercising and working out. My boyfriend is 33 and has said he likes it when I wear mini skirts. Do you think I am in the wrong?
It's normal - well within social boundaries. You are fine with skirts. The controversy among middle-aged versus young adults is on the tight-fitting, thin leggings. https://www.today.com/style/mom-prot...-paper-t151003

Yep, there are ALWAYS stipulations at every age, if you're smart.
