I can't stand this new rage of wearing tight tops over hugely pregnant bellies, especially on the women who get that protruding navel thing happening.
LOL! We were at the grocery store yesterday and there was a very pregnant woman with a protruding belly button wearing a tight knit dress. My husband whispered to me that he really wanted to just touch that belly button. I laughed and said she was practically asking him to.

Ew! It skeeves me. That didn't happen to my belly button when I was pregnant, thank goodness.

How about the ones who wear a t-shirt pulled up over the belly and a skirt, shorts or pants pulled down under the belly, leaving the huge belly (which usually has the protruding navel and a bevy of stretch marks) exposed to the public. I saw a woman dressed like that at the park the other day and I couldn't believe it. There was a news article last week about a woman who's throwing a hissy fit because a nice restaurant didn't want her coming in there dressed like that. If a man had walked into the restaurant dressed like that with his huge hairy belly flashing away, he'd have been turned away too, I imagine.
I'm older than dirt, so I'm sure that definitely colors my perceptions of proper maternity wear, but nothing is going to convince me that going around with your huge preggo belly bare is attractive OR comfortable.
But if the main objective is to attract attention and give you the opportunity to raise a fuss about something, that's the way to go....
^ points to you for use of the word "bevy." It always makes me laugh.
