About a month after my friend got married, his wife cut her hair short. It's a shame, her hair was probably her best asset. Not that she's ugly, but she really does look bad with short hair. He thinks so too. He's really disappointed. It was totally out of the blue as well, one day she was her usual self, next day boom, gone. Compared to the wedding photos she looks embarrassingly bad. It's weird considering the amount of effort she went into making herself look nice for the day.
"They" who? The curious species of primate you're studying? The Martians? Alien pods who have invaded Earth and taken on female Earthling form? They do have strange ideas of what humans are like, don't they? Hmm.... We should study their customs and try to understand them. Is there an Anthropologist in the house? Where are those Anthros when you need them?

Maybe they think because the husband said I do, the husband would have unconditional love for his wife, even when she makes a decision about her appearance everyone may not agree with.
Just a thought, though I do think she should at least notify the husband before doing so, different from discuss.
