I don't think they look good on anyone. They make me think of the 60s, health food, women with underarm hair and sleeveless bohemian dresses. And I love the 60s and 70s, but not the Birkenstock look.

I got these a year or two ago, comfortable and durable and really cute. I like the camo and the pink logo, lol. The lip on the front protects my toes really well too. The Columbia are comfortable, and I don't have to worry about dirt. They clean up real easy.
I'm not sure Birkenstocks are all the rage or anything, but for me - when it comes to a man, what's comfortable is really important.
It seems the predicted TOP 2 are Birkenstocks and Teva for men. Why not go to the store and try them both on? See which one you like best, and meet your needs better.
Teva are sometimes uncomfortable, if the plastic component on the front isn't fitting you right, it can rub you raw. Also, you need to check for that lip to protect your toes. The footbed tends to turn up in the front, which is some help - but I'm not sure they have a lip to protect you from stumping your toe.
Birkenstocks are suede as I recall, and corky. They have nothing on the back to keep them from sliding off. If you only need them to wear to a mall or poolside, they should fine - and, if you don't care how dingy/dirty they may become.

I rarely notice what people are wearing on their feet. There must be something wrong with me.
Have the confidence to wear what you like, what's comfortable, what you can afford. Be proud of your individualism. (If you wear sandals, keep your tootsies clean with well-trimmed nails.)
They're actually NOT supportive for all feet. I have plantar fasciitis, and they don't have high enough arches for me, and def not enough shock absorption.
I could never ever wear those although I've tried - not good for low arched feet like mine imho.
I used to (about 4 plus years ago) suffer from palntar fasciitis on my left foot until a middle aged (lovely ethnic) woman employee at a CH Martin store (like a larger 5-10 store) told me "buy these clogs" which are much like Crocs but are knockoffs and will heal your plantar fasciitis. If that store didn't close down I'd drive back there and hug that woman. I still to this day wear the original pair (yeah it's lasted that long) and lucky still have two new pairs that I purchased at that time to use when my current ones finally show the ghost which I think will be sometime this year. Open toe "flop" shoes at home are my culprit of getting plantar fasciitis in the first place.
I saw some posts on reddit stating they are in style for both me and women. Is this true?
Ladies, what would you think of a guy wearing them? I have always had trouble finding good sandals. They look comfortable but look a bit clunky.
Does comfort ever go out of style? They look fine on man.
