I always liked Docs, but unfortunately I have EEEE width feet so I could never wear them. In the late 90s I used to wear Lugz boots. I bought a new pair a few months ago and they fell apart. What I miss most about the old days is the lack of "planned obsolescence". Things just seemed to last a lot longer back in the day.

That was the 80s -- or at least it was in Los Angeles at the time. YMMV.

It sure is interesting to talk about fashion/trends/what have you when different groups, different ages, and different regions experience fashion at different times.

My impression is that suburban female style was at its post-1965 best in 1990/1991. Other than that, the decade was a fashion disaster.
