Whether your thighs touch or not is not due to being thin. It has to do with your body structure. Of course, fat can certainly cause the thighs to touch, but thinness does not mean that they don't.
Fair enough, but generally less fat on the body means less fat everywhere.

That's not knock-kneed.... It means if the person were to place their legs together, not in a natural stance with legs parted hip-wide.

J. Lo looks like she has a moderate amount of cellulite. That's another argument I would make against thick legs, since they seem more prone to that.
I wouldn't call that moderate... that's mild. I think she has a great body... harsh sunlight is flattering to few (men or women). Her booty & thighs are probably still pretty glorious in boudoir lighting... and I'm NOT qualifying that with a "for her age" remark.
Something like 95% of women have cellulite, and I'd bet that number is higher over the age of 25. Cellulite is just how fat tends to deposit on the butt/thighs/hips for women, and it's been around long before the advent of Western diets & sedentary lifestyles (any knowledge of art will tell you that, including the idea that it was once kinda hot for a woman to be a little soft & dimply in spots; isolated tribes are evidence of that as well). It's not as related to healthiness or weight so much as being an adult female.
The idea of it being gross seems to stem from unrealistic expectations in people who view plastic mannequin-like images of women in magazines more than real, flesh & blood women. Outside of harsh beach sunlight, most cellulite bearing women (aka MOST women) will have their cellulite go undetected.
There are many women, especially young women, who don't have cellulite that is visible from a distance.
Anyway, yeah, the height issue - I agree on thick legs on short women being stubby but I think very tall women (5'10" or taller by this American's standards) usually only look good with legs of medium heft. Thick legs on them easily looks grotesque - Iggy Azalea is an example. That is, if shown off. Who really cares how big a woman's legs are if clothing mostly hides them.
Very much enjoyed being in Manhattan yesterday and checking out all the legs on the island, resplendent in shorts, tights and dresses on a beautiful day.
