I started getting gray hairs when I was in my mid teens. Now, I'm probably around 25% gray I'm guessing and I'm not yet 30. Genetics largely plays a role in that, my Mother was completely salt and pepper by the time she was 35, her Father went bald at 19. I just inherited bad hair, it happens.

As for ageing, who cares? You're going to age, there's nothing you can do to stop it. Just drink lots of water, use sunscreen.

No one is answering my question, how do you know whether you look young or old to other people?

When I was 30 I thought photographs of me looked old. When I was 35 I thought those photos looked pretty darn good. When I was 60 I thought photographs of me looked old. Now I'm 65 and those photos at 60 look pretty darn good. quit looking in the mirror and look at old photos.

Are you freaken kidding me? At age 23?
Ok signs of aging:

Some lines between your eyebrows. Your thought lines that don't vanish anymore.
Little bit of dark circles under eyes. You can't party until 5 am anymore. Sight starts to get faulty. Dry hands and sometimes on face. Start buying the cream that you called "old lady stuff". Start writing list. Wear good makeup for skin. Realize SPF 30 or higher is good. Sitting cross legged on the floor for a long time will make your circulation take 5 mins to come back.

I'm 35

To people younger than you, you look old. To people older than you, you look young. Simple as that. I remember when I thought 8th graders looked old. Now when I look at someone in their 20s they look like a young kid to me.

I'm concerned about your self image problem, to be so concerned about looking old at 23.

Take care of yourself and you'll slow down the process. I'm 38 but no one ever believes I'm out of my 20s.
