I iron most of my pants and hang up my shirts after I take them out of the dryer. There is no way I can get away with just hanging my work pants after they've dried. I can't go to work looking sloppy.
I also don't own an iron. That's what dry cleaners are for. I always get dry cleaning done a big load at a time so I always have a few shirts and pants to yank out of the closets if I need something nice to wear. Considering my daily wear mostly consists of thermal t shirts and jeans (winter) or shorts and a t shirt in summer, I don't need things pressed very often.
I am curious if you all iron your clothing? I am a guy, and I have yet to iron anything, even my khakis and polos. I just take things out of the dryer and fold them until I wear them. I hang all my shirts/tshirts, so they don't get too wrinkled. I feel sort of guilty. Should I go buy an iron?
The question is not should you own an iron, but rather how do you want people to view you? As a professional adult or go with the flow? It also depends on where you are going in said unironed clothes. I work in a professional office where I have to wear suits everyday, so yes I own an iron and my clothes go to the dry cleaners to be pressed when I do not have time to do it myself. However, if you are just going out with friends and do not need to look a mature adult, then bring on the wrinkle my friend.

Get an iron with steam. You don't press knits like a polo except the collar. Hang your pants too. They get less wrinkled. Always use filtered water in your iron. If you use spray starch on button down shirts every once in awhile your follow up ironing jobs go a little smoother.
I iron dress pants, shirts, polos, blouses, scarves and lavender spray press the bedding.
The smell of spray starch and lavender are so relaxing to me.
I don't iron in the winter at all. In the summer occasionally I iron articles ofclothing that are not wrinkle-free after removing them from the dryer.
