I've been thinking of starting to shave my head. Does anybody else do this. If you do, why? To the ladies. Is it attractive? I don't like the way my hair looks when it grows out. Thus I cut it low anyway.
If it matters, I'm an African American man in his 20s.
Like I said, I've been thinking of taking the plunge. I have a relatively big forehead, so if the barber messes up my hair line(like he did recently), I'll end up looking like I'm going bald. Money is tight and I can't afford to get a hair cut every two to four weeks, so shaving it at that frequency makes some sense. What do you think?
I guess I'll be the voice of dissention, as I don't like shaved heads, and honestly don't understand why they've become so popular in the past few years.
But if it's something you're comfortable with and want to do -- go for it!
Another vote for do it. Add a goatee or trim beard - that's hot.
Goatee and a shaved head---that's me. Nice to know.

To the OP: I took the plunge two years ago and have never looked back. My wife loves it, the women at work love it, my friends like the look and if you don't like it your hair will grow back. I look better, so I am told, than when I had hair.
Side benefits: No more going to the barber and no more bad haircuts. Saves time and money. I shave every second or third day with a razor and cream. Takes about four minutes. I feel cooler in the summer, but a bit colder in the winter-nothing a hat won't fix. Speaking of which, hats don't mess up my hair anymore.
Do it!
