The cover does did not strike me as representing choking. I think it's because of the expressions on the models' faces and the fact that I would expect the female model to lower her right arm to fend off an attacker. It looks like a caress to me, not an assault.

I agree. I'm pretty conscientious when it comes to issues like domestic abuse, and even I think this is being overblown.
Yep, so many people who have turned into hypersensitive ninnies who are highly offended by such things as looks on faces of customer service workers, perceived "tones" in the voice, not getting immediate responses in texts or Facebook posts, and that the store ran out of their brat's favorite pudding, and the 16 year old shelf stock clerk "Just didn't seem to CARE!" I'm not the least bit surprised there are people seeing something that is not in that picture and getting all upset over it.
