I dunno, when I look at my man, I see nothing but beauty. He looks mighty fine to me. Like the song says, "your body is a wonderland". Why would someone find men any less attractive than a woman? Am I missing something???

There was time when it was taboo for women to wear pants, they started a revolution to get rid of that standard. With the amount of technology and information available today it could be easy for the men in this thread to start a revolution to change our culture regarding male attire.

This is want I am trying to understand, the only reason we see more scantily women in the media is because the female fashion industry is bigger.

As a railfan, I will say this:

Men were built to haul freight, while women were built to haul passengers.

At a biological level, a man is little more than a sperm donor and an ATM machine.

The entire layer of romance and love + the social institutions (like marriage) built on top of that are societal inventions to ensure our species continues on.

Females are to attract males, and have offspring. Males are to "win" females, and then provide for them and their offspring. That, my friends, is basic biology. If you are unhappy with those roles, then perhaps start complaining how "unjust" the gravity is because you hurt yourself in the fall last Friday.

Many men don't understand that women view "attractiveness" of the opposite sex in a very different way.
An "average looking" man which, accidentally, is ~80% of the population, will be attractive in the eyes of "average woman" if he projects the image of a "provider" and a "protector".
Most women are highly attracted by intelligence for a reason. Today (as opposed to the Neolithic Age) intelligent men are far more likely to be good providers than unintelligent ones.
Energy, optimism, sense of humor and confidence without cockiness are other key criteria used by women. Good looks usually help, but they are secondary to outward manifestations of intelligence, attractive character and the ability to "bring home the bacon".

Male bodies (and above all, their brains) are tools to achieve goals.
You don't worship tools, but you take a good care of them so they will work well for a long time.
A very primitive, 'straight-male-centric' view on things ("we men should work for our women and protect them, that will attract them to us" - sorry, women have standards when it comes to a man's looks, so men winning ANY female won't always work). Sure, personality matters, but you're speaking like looks don't matter at all (so many women would disagree here, really)

Oh, if men are not supposed to attract then why are there gay men?

However, men these days are supposed to keep their mouth shut about women wearing inappropriate clothing. This might not be the way you think, but its the way in which things are headed.

I no longer care what others think about my clothing choice. If it makes me happy, looks decent for the situation, and my loved ones feel comfortable with me wearing such clothes, then that's the end of it.
Ok...you think nobody bats an eyelash when women wear something revealing? Guess you haven't been around many women. WOMEN are the first to criticize other women for wearing something they "shouldn't".

What exactly are you trying to wear? Or expose?

You DO realize that a man's exposed chest is never censored whereas a woman's exposed chest is? Men can get away with wearing less than women ALL the time. Go to a beach and see who is exposed more. Hint: starts with an "m"

But we DO see scantily clad men in the media. Like all those stupid Vampire movies and those shows that girls like to watch with the shirtless guys.

But wait, those men aren't average.

Oh, also...neither are the scantily clad women average, either.

The people in the media will ALWAYS look better than the average joe or jane. They can afford it!

I see a good equal proportion of scantily clad women to men in my opinion.

However, I will add that men's higher sex drives causes us to partake in things like porn and strip clubs more often than women, but that's because our higher testosterone level makes us that way; not because women aren't attracted to us.

If you think the male body isn't appreciated by women, I guess you haven't heard of bachelorette parties, then.

Really, where do you live? No woman around me thinks that a guy who dresses well is gay; they appreciate it and find him more attractive.

In my opinion, the guys who wear the "same old shirt and pant" are the ones who are thrown to the wayside and forgotten. Even the media attests to this. Watch any show with a "hot guy" in it.

I know of no woman that thinks it's gay for a man to dress well. Are you around a lot of really conservative sheltered women or something?
