Women have a lot of choice of styles and fashion but Men don't. Men can wear Khaki's and sometimes Cargo type pants too at work.
But you don't have to wear a different pair of shoes with those different pants. I have pants that are hemmed to wear with heels and pants that are hemmed to wear with flats. Boots can go with skirts, dresses, or slim pants. I'm by no means obsessed with shoes, but not every shoe goes with every outfit.
Another reason is that, fat or thin, short or tall, in most cases, women who can't find stylish clothing that fits them can usually find cute shoes.
which is why my motto is:
when all else fails, buy shoes.
i am fairly average sized, proportionate, and moderately fit.
yet when you are going clothes shopping and try on an
unbelievable amount of clothing and most of it, if not all
of it doesn't look good or fit...
well, you get a little cranky lol
As a kid I used to have one pair of shoes I wore all day every day for about 2 years until they literally fell to pieces. These were like $150 Air Jordans or something like that.
I once put a outside tape on my shoes because it was coming off.
please don't speak for all men as if you are qualified to be the spokesman for the entire gender.
my beau has as many pairs of shoes as i do. i don't have fifty pairs like you would have most people think. i have a small collection ranging from combat boots to "fashion" boots to strappy 5" heels. different shoes for different outfits and occasions. his collection is similarly varied, from work boots to chuck taylors to dress shoes.
