Foundation/Concealer: fingers and finish with a damp sponge. Tried brushes, but I prefer my fingers although I am considering buying an airbrush system.
Loose Powder: brush and/or puff
Eyeshadows: brushes (pressed & loose powders) or fingers (cremes)
Blushes: brushes (I can't get into the cremes/gels, etc.)
I must admit that I use my fingers to apply my foundation, even though I have sensitive skin and I know it probably doesn't help with me using my oily fingers. I've tried sponges but annoys me that it soaks up all my foundation and I'm hardly getting any of it without giving the sponge half first. Stuffs to expensive.
So what do you use to apply makeup? Any item or application technique that you love?
I prefer using fingers for foundation, I don't use very much- just a little under my eyes or a blemish that popped up. I use Q-tips for a little eyeshadow (lining my eye), or sometimes my finger for under the brow. I usually go over the eyeshadow with a pencil eyeliner. I don't use blush or powder. On my lips I just use the lip gloss applicator that comes with it, and then directly apply a little lip stick if I want a punch.
I generally use natural colors so it hardly looks like I have makeup on.
Fingers then a brush for concealer. Brush for initial powder application, sponge for touchups. Sponge tip applicator for base eyeshadow, brush for corners/crease application of darker shade. Brush for lipgloss. Fingers for liquid highlighter.
