I agree. I supported Barr/Root in 2008 and everyone said I 'wasted my vote.' I disagree b/c the major candidates were bad and much worse. Obama is a lot worse than McCain, but McCain was still not worth supporting IMO.

I agree, a vote is never wasted. If more people voted independant the politicians would have to listen. Instead the American public supports this 2 party system that continues to fail us.

Disagree. I voted for Perot and helped elect Clinton. I won't make that mistake again.

The only reason people voted democrat is that they got tired of republicans messing things up and they forgot just how awful liberals were. Now they might think republicans have gotten their acts together and they might vote for them rather than put up with liberals ruining the country worse than the republicans did. There might be some anger there, particularly with younger voters. They wanted change and a cool new younger President and instead they got Obama. Who was more of the same old same old and more like Bush than not.
Ideally they'd toss out the democrats and not elect repubicans but elect independants and third party candidates.

I'll vote republican for the sole purpose of putting some "balance" back in government. I'm uncomfortable with ANY one party controlling the presidency and both houses of congress.

I am going to vote a straight Democratic party ticket because their policies are closest to what I think are best for most of our population and our entire country.

We need to disband the government of the vastly wealthy, by the vastly wealthy and for the vastly wealthy. We need to stop government of Mammon worshiping warmongers.

My current policy is to vote against every incumbent, even the ones I like. That is the only way to wrest control from the lobbys.

they shouldnt, but also they should not vote for democrats either. after all voting for a republican these days is just like voting for a democrat.

try voting for a Libertarian or Constitution party candidate.

either of those parties are more conservative or traditionalists than either the republican or democrat parties are right now.
