obama has changed his slogan from "Hope and Change" to "Forward". But, forward to what? What is he moving us "forward" to? What is "forward" supposed to mean? Where does it get us to? That word, "Forward", made me think. It sounds positive. But, it doesn't answer the questions. obama has failed us in so many ways. So, how can he tell us to go "forward"? And when he commands us to move "forward", what exactly is in his mind. It didn't take but a few seconds on the internet to find a link to the word, "forward", with other potlical views and visions. Politics and forward have gone hand and hand for awhile and often. Here is what I found:
-"Forward Group"- The Socialist League in Canada
-"Forward Bloc"- A Socialist break away group from All India Forward Bloc in the 1990's
-"Adelelante"- meaning "forward" in Portugese. A Socialist newspaper in Argentina founded in 1916.
-"Socialist League Forward"- A radical political organization in Russia founded in 2005.
-"The Forward"- Commonly known as the Jewish Daily Forward- A newspaper in NYC that began in 1897. Started by associates from the Socialist Labor Party.
-"Avanti"-Italian for forward. It is a daily newspaper and claimed that it was the official voice of the Italian Socialist Party and was started in 1896.
-"Vorwarts"- German Communist newspaper founded in 1918. It's by-line was "Organ of the Socialists in the-German Voga Territory".
-"Framin"- meaning, "Forward". Monthly magazine in Denmark started in the 1960's. The subtitle is "Faroese magazine for Socialism and independence.
-"Forward Wales"- Political party founded in 2003 in Wales. It is listed as a party sought to advance socialist policies for Wales as an alternative to what it perceived as a labour party which had moved away from socialism.
-"The Three Red Banners Movement"- ideological slogans in the 1950's in China to endorse a socialist state. One banner said, " A great leap forward".
-"Marxist Forward Bloc"- Political party in India
-"Forward"-a journal started in 1872 by the Russian Socialist, Lavrov, who called for a world wide socialist revolution that would have to involve the peasants and indoctrinate socialism into them.
-"Hitler Youth March Song"
-"Forward! Forward

He wants this country to be like Europe... he has no affection for America or it's values. I find it difficult to believe that folks bought the "hope and change" thing to begin with!

I agree. I didn't buy it the last time, but once he won, I hoped for that change. Now I realize I didn't know what that "change" was. It just sounded good. I was stupid. But, I won't be again.
I think the change Reagan brought gave hope, not like the "hopeium" we get from this dealer.
"hopeium". That is a good way to describe the drug that obama 2008 folks felt. Not sure what they are on this time though.
