Seems like Americans can read and understand what no involvement means. I should say the vast majority of Americans. It is obvious that not all are up to par and as the education slogan goes we do need a program called.
NO POSTER LEFT BEHIND.
FiveThirtyEight.com: Politics Done Right: Obama Approval Ratings Not Dented by Blagojevich Scandal

With Rod Blagojevich facing the triple threats of impeachment, court-ordered removal from office, and a federal indictment, the tribulations of the Illinois Governor may yet prove to have an effect on Barack Obama's approval ratings -- but the early signs are that Blago will have no tangible impact on the public's perception of the President-elect.

Indeed, with essentially three full days of interviewing having been conducted after Blagojevich's arrest on on Tuesday morning, Obama's approval ratings remain pristine. Gallup shows that 72 percent of the public has a favorable view of Obama, and 18 percent an unfavorable view. The 72 percent favorability rating matches the 72 percent score that Obama achieved on November 7th-9th for the highest since the election, whereas the 18 percent disapproval rating is Obama's lowest yet. Three days ago, before Blagojevich's arrest, those ratings were 70 percent and 21 percent, respectively

So as we keep saying let the slams and slander roll in. After seven months we still have a tad more credibility for the wing nuts to lose.

Yup.
True to form those same folks who were the main ones throwing out lies about Obama being a radical and a terrorist lover are the ones now trying to manufacture a connection between Obama and the Governor. Problem is, the prosecutor himself DIRECTLY contradicts them. Of course the truth never stopped them before, so once again they spin their lies and half-truths in hope that something - anything - can be made to stick.

I suggest everyone stand back. After all that spinning (to no effect), those folks must be pretty dizzy and about ready to spew about now.

I think that the values that Obama stands for have created a tipping point in our country and that it's now bigger than any one person. And I am thrilled!

and if this governor had been connected to GW Bush the coverage and slander against Bush would have been wall to wall 24/7. But because the connection is to a politician the press likes they're taking a hands off stance even though the recordings clearly show that someone within Obama's administration did in fact contact the governor about selecting Obama's choice to replace him as senator. In Obama's defense, those same recordings show that whomever the governor spoke with said Obama wasn't willing to make a deal. But if that's the case, then Obama or members of his staff should have reported this to the proper authorities since this is illegal. By the way,...how many more illegal activities involving Rezko will it take before someone in the press begins doing a little digging to see how closely connected he is to Obama? Rezko is also named in the Governor's arrest.

So since the recording shows that Obama wasn't willing to pay to play, the issue should be put to rest.

And how does anyone know that team Obama did not report this? That blasphemous recording was made right after election day. Within four weeks Blago was arrested.

I think they were very involved in the set up of the scenario and the take down of this scumbag Governor.

Obama is a victim now?

This is absolutely nothing compared to the vitriolic assaults on GWB the past 8 years.

And unfortunately, it's not going to get better. It's called payback. And while it shouldn't happen, it will. Part of the criticism Bush got was payback for what Clinton got, and the cycle continues.

Right.

But the investigation is newsworthy, is it not?

I agree, Pirategirl. I think that the tape of the gov saying to "f" him pretty well demonstrates that there was no love connection between the gov and Obama.

Now, if the gov was talking about Larry Craig, I'd have a different opinion...

The issue belongs in the news.

But the speculation that Obama was complicit in illegal activities that continues on this forum is disgusting.

Is it any more disgusting than the thread, just this past week, where one of the members was ranting about how Bush is at fault for 9/11?
