It may not look like it right now, but conservatives won yesterday. It will take less than a year for the Republicans to realize that you cant win with a moderate like McCain, they have to have a real conservative; and the moderates and dems are going to realize that "The Messiah" is not just to the left, he is in the left ditch, and they will vote for anyone but him. Remember conservatives, it took Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan.

conservative thinking is wasting away as the next generations come into the voting block... so... I wouldn't count on it.

After seeing what Dubya has done to this nation in the last couple of years, a "moderate" Republican was a sitting duck to lose. McCain was simply on the wrong side of history, and today's conservatives are loathe to admit the damage that Dubya has done -- it will take at least a decade to be repaired.

No, you are wrong. The same argument could have been made in the 60's and 70's, but conservatism was revitalized by Ronald Reagan.

Bobby Jindal '12!

Unfortunately that is somewhat true, but conservatism is what this country was built on, and it was made to last.

Well I know where you are going with this and all I can say is that I hope actual conservatives show up and make a stand.

No..... the majority young people have historically been liberal. Once they grow up, many of them become conservative.
Don't worry. This election has energized me like none before. I am conservative, with a libertarian slant. Government will not control me, it will not define who I am. I plan to be more active in politics now. We can not allow socialism to destroy this country.
Conservatism was saved yesterday. Absolutely.

Conservatism today as we know it, I do not believe will exist in the future. I think it will be replaced by Moderatism. That is what the new Rupublican Party will be about.

You and me both. Fighting liberalism is never easy and it takes a "real conservative"
