Taking advice from the Left to decide the presidential candidate from the Right is what got us John "I'm not really a Conservative" McCain.

Sarah Palin is the type of conservative that energized the ticket and made the election even moderately close.

I wish we had more people like Sarah Palin to put into national office.

I am sick of you republican conservatives stereotyping us as lazy, bums who live off welfare. Many democrats work hard, create the technology that you use to type your stereotypical comments on the internet, and make plenty of money.
Maybe I worded my post incorrectly. It is Democrats within your income who will quickly tire of higher taxes to end up funding programs you may or may not want to fund. I have a 32 year old son who is a professor and he is a tremendous Obama supporter. I respect him, as I respect you. I am only saying that after four years of high taxing on your hard earned tax dollars, you may feel differently about your party of choice in 2012 than you do today.

It is the people who don't work or earn a living who often don't realize what a burden it is to continue funding tons of freebie programs.

No offense, but Sarah Palin and national office just don't go together. I am liberal. I know that conservatives have a voice too, and am happy for your thoughts. However, she is not qualified for national office.

Reagan on the other hand was a great president. Sarah is not a Reagan.

Absolutely. If it wasn't for Palin entering the race, the election would have been a complete landslide for Obama since many Republicans wouldn't have voted at all.

I think people will be smarter and want REAL answers to questions instead of assuming change will get us there. Eloquent words don't make a great president, but I'm willing to give Obama a chance to prove himself. I greatly wish to believe that good things will happen, but I am not about to make anybody a Messiah of change.

Having said that, I think most people could care less about the far left or far right, and they lie in the middle. I think what brought McCain down was the Bush Administration, not whether or not he could deliver (IMO).

We dont fully know what she is, just like we dont fully know what Obama is, except for friends with a terrorist and an America hating "pastor". What makes her not national office material?

Yes, good idea. Maybe the Republicans could clone her. At least that would ensure that I will never have to endure a Republican president again in my lifetime.

If you really believe that Sarah Palin was any kind of boon to the Republican party then you're seriously mistaken. Go back to your roots and redefine what being conservative is about, then you'll have a chance at another election.

But I'll give you a hint: Hypocrisy, smear tactics and value systems which are shallow like puddles on a rainy day are not what conservatism is about.

Sarah Palin cost Senator McCain the election. Deal with it.

Remember conservatives, it took Jimmy Carter to give us Ronald Reagan.
Nicely said, and I agree

Yeah, but I KNOW that Reagan would be ashamed of the youth who today call themselves conservative Republicans. Being conservative does not mean one hates, it does not mean that one must incite anger, it does not mean one is so anti liberal that he comes across as being UN-AMERICAN.
