Absolutely. They used excellent artwork to state their case. I thought it was clever, funny and effective. It in no way reflected badly on anyone in any personal manner.

The casket was placed in front of a fire station polling place in New Bern. Township 7 or something like that. For those that go to Morehead, it was in James City, just over the Trent River bridge from New Bern, proper.

I voted there, after an hour and one half plus wait, last Friday, before the casket was placed there.

However, the guy who put the casket in place, was there the afternoon I voted. I recognized him from the picture. He was a totally obnoxious azz. He kept SCREAMING..."he will take all your money," "he will take all your money." Very annoying. An loud.

He was at least 50 feet from door of the polling place, but totally obnoxious. In contrast, the Obama folks were quite helpful, explaining the ballot, and very courteous. I know. I was there. And I voted. Guess for who?

If you read the entire article you would know that at one point in time it also had a picture of Obama on it! Do you still say that "it in no way reflected badly on anyone in any personal manner"?

It's a shame that people resort to this type of behavior! To me it's disgusting...whether it be Obama, McCain or anyone else for that matter referenced on that casket!

Hi CD,
Are you sure you don't have any affiliation?

"Charlton Dude
Just an average Joe. The type Obama looks down on."

Yes, I am sure. I do not like the policies of either candidate, but I assume Obama will win, hence my comments. In any event, it is the over reaction to an artistic display that I am talking about here.

Yes, I'd still say that. It was a play on words. Death by taxes. Their feeling was that Obama will raise taxes, so someone put his picture on it. It wasn't saying die Obama or Obama is literally going to kill you. It was an artistic expression about a tax policy. This is the over reaction that I am talking about. Are we no longer allowed to say:
  • This headache is "killing" me
  • I would "kill" for a nice juicy hamburger right now
I really don't see any issue with someone using art to make a point about a policy. There was absolutely no personal attack on anyone. It was a policy statement made by using art.

You do understand that if Joe did not pay his taxes, he would have $0 OWED dont you? People who dont pay taxes dont OWE. Only people who owe taxes filed tax returns showing that they made a profit and owe taxes...

Just because he failed to pay, does not mean he "doesnt pay".. only tax cheats dont pay..
