Just because you are at odds with a country does not always mean war is brewing. If there is anything that should be wanted by the US and IRAN is peace. Who cares what they say in Iran. We have our own problems to take care of.

They are hoping for somebody who is going to be rational. That doesn't mean weak. Trying to reason with the current administration was futile. they are hoping someone will come in who they can discuss there worries and concerns and work out a solution thats a win/win for everybody. Is this possible? Who knows, but we have been working on a Us against them policy and look where its gotten us. Its time to shift gears and see what other options are available. Stop your one way thinking.

I guess that explains why you are quick to deride Obama.

This thread is ridiculous. Not even worth giving it another thought it's so ludicrous.

Have a great night.

From the actual article it states they feel he is more flexible and rational

Which is then translated to mean, "weakness".

This is pretty much the essence of faith based life in America. Rational thought is weak...

Whats next, burning liberals at the stake on the White House lawn? Calling Bachmann to the white phone...
That's a weak an uneducated guess. You think faith based people can't think rational? That's ridiculous.

How about:
Iran
January 19, 1984

That's the date they got named a: state sponsor of terror. Irrational thinking would be a thought process of detente`. The ignorant thought process is detente` as they speak of the utter destruction of other sovereign nations. Clinton did not disagree. What's your rational thinking?

Is that rational to you?

Flexible in what way? Perhaps they think they have a better chance of obtaining those nuclear weapons to wipe Israel off the map? Could that be what they're thinking?

You must realize that Israel will no doubt attack Iran's facilities in the near future, especially if Obama is elected.

Top officials in Iran are proposing a preemptive strike against Israel to avoid an assault on its nuclear reactors, Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported Wednesday.
Is this the crisis the gaffemaster was talking about? Can we extrapolate his warning that the "response" from a Pres. Obama would not be looked at as "correct"?

Nope. I deride Obama for switching his positions based on political expedience. I deride him for taking the same position as McCain on more issues than his supporters would like to admit. And I certainly don't think his economic plans make a whole lot of sense. I do however agree with him that talking with our enemies is important. It is possible to engage in diplomacy without appearing weak.

I'm sure they are wishing us all the best.
Oh no -- This doesn't mean peace then, does it?

I just don't feel secure unless we're bombing somebody ...
