Still not sure why he chose to do this now. Maybe he didn't want to get lost in the sea of endorsements that will be made in September and October?

Because they need money bad. They are $11M short from even putting on a Democratic convention. People were handing money to Obama hand over fist to beat Clinton, but now the fundraising has slowed substantially now that Obama is the nominee. It wont kick back up again till after the convention, but there isnt enough to pay off the bills in full from it.

Al Gore is fundraising for him.

You must have missed his "Support the Movement" right on Al Gores main homepage, where they have created a special link, just for Al Gore supporters. I wonder if Gore is getting an affiliate kickback from the support because its an affiliate link

AlGore.com

So Gore endorses Obama, and Obama promises Gore an energy job in return. Isnt this bribery?

People who give to politicians are idiots. They have plenty of money. NONE of them will get any from me and that includes Hillary who I would have loved to see get the nomination. I don't care who endorses them.
