The Buying of the Presidency 2008

Barack Obama is well on his way to buying the Presidency.

In essence, we do not have a fair fight. Obama has always liked it that way when it comes to his campaigns. Obama said at one point that if the McCain campaign brought "a knife to the fight, we would bring a gun" -- revealing that he did not care about a level playing field . Anyone familiar with his campaign against Alice Palmer in 1996, where he used challenges to nominating petitions to completely eliminate all his challengers in the Democratic primary for the Illinois State Senate, should have realized this aspect of Obama's campaign style. Michael Barone's "The Coming Obama Thugocracy" describes Obama's effort to silence critics.

During the primaries, despite outspending Hillary Clinton by 2 to 1 or 4 to 1 in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, Clinton still won those battles. Maybe at some point, voters will tune out the flood of ad messages and the selling of Obama by the national media, and decide for themselves.

Sounds like a little jelousy of someone who has ran a fantastic campaign...compared to someone else who should have fired his along time ago.

No, millions of Americans have contributed their hard earned money and put into their free speech option as the Republicans have always asserted it is. We are supporting our candidate. I had never before given and this year I gave 125, my relatives have each given too. We are tired of what we have had to live with for the last 8 years and we are willing to put up our own money to make our lives better. I think that is what is called personal responsibility.

I, and about a zillion others, sent Mr. Obama’s campaign a hundred bucks or so. Mr. McCain’s supporters did not. Consider it a plebiscite of sorts.

Apparently an overwhelming financial lead is only fair when the Republicans have the advantage.

Buying the election?

Instead of Obama buying the election is seems more like 4,000,000 Americans are using their money as an extension of their right to free political speech.

No November 5th and afer, these Neo-cons will go through 5 different feelings.

First starting with Denial,

They will be in Denial that McCain is actually so bad to have run his campaign so horibbly.

Second will be Anger,

They will come on here and flood these boards with million of evil, racist threads about Obama. They will be much worse than we are reading now.

Third will be Bargening,

They will bargen for recounts, and bargin to get McLame into the White House.

Fourth will be Depression,

Most likely they are already depressed from living 8 years with the GOP already. But as Obama starts to finally get the country turned around they will be like most of society, and be depressed, and most likely still unemployed from the Bush err.

Last will be Acceptance.

The economy will pick up, jobs will be coming around again, and people will start to be happy. At this point they will accept the fact of having a President that isn't just like them. They will be employed, making money again, and be happy, and wondering why did they ever go with that GOP ticket anyways.
