With all the people given so much money...I guess the economy shouldn't be so bad, so the Dem. shouldn't whine about the economy or ahve they given money that they should have used to pay towards the mortgages many have failed to pay?

In 2000 I would have been happy with either McCain or Gore.
In 2004 I would have been happy with either Nader or Lieberman.
In 2008 I would have been happy with either Paul or Edwards.

Each had good points, and bad points that I could live with.

Since 1972 I have only voted successfuly (for the winner) for President once.
In most elections the person I wanted did not make it out of (or in to) the primarys.

What's your record like?

I'll state my prediction again: as in the case of Jimmy Carter, there will be millions of Democrats who will not admit that they voted for Obama. The country will be in such shambles by 2010 that the American people will finally wise up and throw the Democrat/Socialist bums out of congress. That, at this point, is the only thing that will save this country from oblivion.
I'm thinking the American people will be offended by the attempt to buy the White House by Obama and it won't help him in the end.

If he did by chance get in, then I believe what you are saying and hopefully we can move the FairTax into place.

They'll really want and need it after that fiasco. Still don't see Obama winning.

Bush bought it. And we've been paying for it.

I'd love fair tax. My accountant would love it too. He wouldn't have to spend months trying to hunt down loopholes to reduce my tax burden.

Obama has raised SO MUCH of his money from small donations, people like me who sent him $25 here and there. WHY is that a bad thing?

We will see on Nov 4. We all thought that about Gore too, see what thinking about it gets you. That is why we all are paying our way to the White House this time instead of hoping someone else pays it for us. Actually, I was going to buy a ticket for my son to go on a holiday with his buddies and they all decided to give up the holiday and we put the money in the campaign instead.
