The McCain campaign is playing filthy dirty and it's time for the dems to call attention to McCain's questionable history.

Let's go back to the 60s when McCain was admitted to the US Naval Academy not because of his intelligence or aptitude but because he was the son and grandson of Navy Admirals. He graduated #894 out of 899 students.

As a pilot, he was responsible for the loss of three naval aircraft. Including the loss of a Skyhawk in 1967 on the USS Forrestal when he was horsing around by "wet starting" the plane. (A big NO NO). His action caused a rocket to deploy and in turn, the death of a fellow pilot as well as 167 others on the ship. Because of his familial ties, before the disaster was investigated he was transferred to another ship and the entire escapade was covered up.

During his 5 1/2 year imprisonment in Hanoi many of his fellow prisoners felt that he was sharing info with the enemy and was kept segregated and treated much better than other prisoners. Run a google search on Jack McLamb and his comments about McCain. His nickname was Songbird McCain and many former POWs think he is a traitor.

According to a translator of interrogations during that time, McCain was never offered NOR refused to be released as he reports.

McCain has been accused of working hard to keep all files of his time as a hostage under wraps and also of blocking attempts to gain further information of other POW/MIAs from that time. Why would he do that? (look for info on the Truth Bill and the McCain bill)

He is known for being tempermental on good days, explosive on bad days. He has threatened people, screamed obscenities when cornered and has been referred to as "psychologically unstable."

He has repeatedly denied facts about interrogation of US Pows that others have corroborated and that records confirm.

Check out the McCain Feingold Campaign Finance Reform bill which is a direct attack on our first amendment rights. Free speech is a cornerstone of our constituion and our American Values yet McCain places no value upon that.

Keating Five- need I say more?

His questionable relationship (fiscal and political) with Paxson communications?

How so?

By McCain using the democrats own words against them?

You must be new to politics - they haven't even begun to hit obama. Wait til after the rep convention - I expect I might see an ad from you wailing and crying "leave obama alone".

So the truth is dirty?

McCain is just much smarter then Obama.

Obama doesn't have anything to attack McCain on and his backers are mad about it.

Fight back with what?

The only thing you people can do is attack his successes and that means nothing.

So it that is what the dem party is about, attack someone for being a successful person?

Sorry, this convention will go down in history as the worst one ever. No unity, fighting between the party, lame speakers, no plans, nothing.

When are the dems going to talk about the issues and give us their plans? I have not heard that yet.

Yeah, go ahead dems. Start smearing his war record and his time as a POW. Even some on the far left say - don't go there.

why would someone want to smear someone's war record or time as a POW?
Those factors don't necessarily make his case for being the best candidate for president though...

I don't know about that. They did elect the draft dodger Klintoon and the majority of the party are leeches on the country.

I don't put it beyond them that attacking the sacrifices John McCain made for this country will be part of their "play book".

And they did elect the even WORSE draftdodger in both Wonderboy and President Cheney.

Obama isn't stupid intellectually. He earned his degrees from the Ivy's. It's when he graduated and started being drug by whatever smell in the air was appealing, that he lost his intellect and his soul.

McCain has never been the brightest bulb in the tulip patch. He's gone where he's gone based on his ability to connect and marry the right people. But don't start smiting his service. HE WAS THERE, regardless. The GOP swiftboated Kerry, but they are the masters. The democratic party is in such disaray that no swiftboating will happen against McCain like it did against Kerry. If they try, they will just come off as total buttheads because he has the POW/tortured/can't comb his own hair card to come back with. His perceived failure as a pilot is bunk.

He's released his records? WOW
Have you read all 600 plus pages? What do they say, c'mon you can share. Senator Kerry didn't release his records until it was too late, Senator McCain is smarter than Senator Kerry to release his. Do you have a link?
