G Greenwald

"He lives off the inherited wealth of his much younger, former mistress and now-second-wife -- for whom he dumped his older and disfigured first wife -- and who then used her family's money to fund his political career and keep him living in extreme luxury (while insisting that he sign a prenuptial agreement, which would make McCain the first U.S. President to have one). "

Wow! And these right wingers have the nerve to preach about family values!

Survival of the Fittest! GOP Style. Out with the old and ill, in with they young and monied.

Daily Mail.

"In order to save her legs, surgeons

had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter.

Through sheer hard work, Carol learned to walk again. But when John McCain came home from Vietnam, she had gained a lot of weight and bore little resemblance to her old self.

Today, she stands at just 5ft4in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering.

For nearly 30 years, Carol has maintained a dignified silence about the accident, McCain and their divorce. But last week at the bungalow where she now lives at Virginia Beach, a faded seaside resort 200 miles south of Washington, she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later."

Just think if McCain was still married to her. Can you imagine the nasty things the Dems would be saying about her.

First of all this has been covered a million times.
Second his wife is the one who wanted the divorce.
( And he actually pays for her medical and living expenses when he didn't have to )
Third, he doesn't live off her money, his income is more then you would think.

And, what does a prenump have to do with anything, they are done everyday.

Find something new and something with facts. This one is old news.

Did you know Barry Soebamas dad was married 3 times at the same time????

Why? Carol McCain is to be admired for her courage and faithfulness, the only thing she has to be ashamed of is her unfaithful husband....gotta feel for her. On second thought she is probably much better off without that creep in her life.

Oh of course they are! In lifestyles of the rich and famous!!! LOL

I thought the GOP was the party of the common man? I thought right wingers were into God blessing a marriage, not your lawyers going over the contract???

What nerve!

Whole different story, Cindy is a home wrecker while Carol was faithful to her creepy ex husband.
