the problem with a mandatory healt care system, is what do u do if some can't afford it? Fine them? I am not talking about the poor here. I am talking about people who make just enough to not be considered poor, but poor enough to not be able to afford it.

Heath care should be free for children and seniors.

If someone could provide an example of another nation with a working healthcare system I would appreciate it.

By that I mean one where those paying do not need to buy supplemental health coverage, where there isn't rationing of care, where the costs to each person isn't a burden...that sort of thing.

I would also like to know how a voluntary universal system actually works...

Yes there was litigation which seems to follow the Billary. Perhaps you will provide citations for readers giving a more favorable spin on her previous debacle.

Both suck. Goverment should stay out of health care.

I like Hillary's plan better.

I don't see how we would save any money with Obama's plan -- and I can't see healthy people signing up if it's voluntary.

California has statewide disability insurance that is very cheap because every employee is covered by it. I think only 3 other states have similar plans.

You make a good point. To me it boils down to the age old economic problem of unlimited wants and limited resources. The problem then becomes how to allocate those limited resources. The first question for the candidates becomes are there enough health resources for all and at what cost and what distribution method. How do we allocate health care and who will get the better health care?
Clearly health care quality will not be consistant so then how would the candidates allocate the quality of health care? Would the best doctors be forced to serve where needed as determined by? This is not a simple problem and we need to discuss the root issues of health care.
