Yes, he was a POW. Besides that, in what ways would he be a good President, and how would he be different from Bush?

Anyone? Anyone?

Reason's he would be a good President.

He doesn't know the difference between the Shia and the Sunni. Having a fundamental ignorance of the driving factors of the civil war American soldiers are dying for is good policy. To top it off, he doesn't know the difference between Iran and Al Queda either. I believe a wise man once said, "The less you know about your enemy, the better." No better way to continue this enlightened policy than by electing John McCain.

When the economy is on the brink of recession, it's important to turn to a man with strong economic credentials. Unfortunately, John McCain has admitted that he doesn't know anything about economics, then denied he had just said that (McCain comes from a time before recording technology was readily available). So, who does he turn to for guidance, in these times of economic peril?

None other than Kevin Hassett, Economist Extraordinaire! In order to be on McCain's team, you have to demonstrate an ability to be either incredibly ignorant or incredibly wrong. Fortunatley, Hassett has these credentials and then some. In 1999, he authored the book Dow 36,000, arguing that the Dow would rise to these levels in 3 to 5 years (possiby sooner), at the height of the stock market bubble. For those not paying attention, his prediction failed miserably, endearing him to McCain, who values those who share his ignorance about economic principles.

He does not want to dismantle our nikes THEN try to convince Russia and Pakistan to do the same. He wants to keep funding for our TESTED missile defense system. (No its not PROVEN thank goodness)

He's the most mainstream MODERATE candidate.

I was not a fan of McCain still not really. On principle issues i agree with his stances.
