I think the turnout will be slightly lower than in 2008, but still a very high turnout. Keep in mind the population of the USA is constantly rising.

There is NO DOUBT republican far outpace democrats in enthusiasm. Obama's "base" is depressed across demographics - Hispanics, youth, white men, religious, cons dems...

The article also states there are a number of reasons why the absentee ballot request is lower, but doesn't state those reasons, i wonder why?
