If you roll over the highlighted states (the states that allow early voting), you'll be given up-to-date (or nearly so, for some states) early voting statistics. Some states' counts are even broken down between R and D and in-person and absentee, as well as the percentage of total registered voters from that state who've already voted early.

Wow--this is cool. Hey, here's a new incentive to go out and vote this week. You can watch your state change as a result of your vote!

Gallup put out today that 18% claim to have already voted. These voter go for Obama by a 10 point margin.

Those that say they plan still to vote early go for Obama by a 14 point margin.

And those that will wait till election day go for Obama by a 6 point margin.

So McCain's goose is cooked.

I question the accuracy though. The local media gives a break down, and the numbers are close for both parties, but they also list 240,000 independents voting which CNN is ignoring. Why?

I wonder why Wisconsin's says that voting statistics are not available. Will Wisconsin just not tell them or what?
