Seriously, though, to whom are you referring? Both President Obama and The First Lady have licenses in the State of Illinois contrary to internet rumors.
Actually they dont. Michele Obama put her law license as "inactive status" in 1993 and Barack Obama has his license as "voluntarily retired".
They can easily get their licenses back, but as of right now, they have no license to practice law.
I was a Republican for over 20 years and I am voting for Obama.
And, I am voting for every Democrat on the ticket.
The GOP has gone too far right for me, so I changed parties.
I know many Republicans who feel the same way.
Did you watch Ann Romney's speech? I think she was excellent, considering she's not a politician or a public speaker, but she added a little footnote saying Massachusetts is only 13% Republican. Obviously she said that because her husband wasn't a very popular governor and left with a low approval rating. However, what she failed to mention is that before Romney was elected, the good people of Massachusetts elected other Republican governors..a lot of them. Bill Weld served from 1991-1997. Then Paul Cellucci, his Lt Governor, served from 1997-2001. Then Jane Swift (as acting Gov) from 2001-Jan 2003 when Romney took office. Didn't Scott Brown win the Senate seat during the 2010 special election? Shouldn't this give voters (even Republicans) some pause?
Nice try...just a left wing blogger who is trying to fool the weak...haha. I can smell a fool from far away!
Every single word is the truth. What is hard for you to believe...that I was a long time Republican that changed parties? Or is it hard for you to believe that my spouse is still a Republican but is voting for Obama. Or, do you not believe that we are from a purple state and our votes are very important? Or, do you think I made up the fact that I got a family member to register in another state and the family member is voting Obama? It's all true. Read it and weep.
So how much in taxes should everyone pay? Romney says he pays 14% though no proof of that, should Romney be paying less than that to help him want to create more jobs?

Yes, I know they are inactive. That wasn't what the poster to whom I responded said. I need to go back to get the quote, but they were never prevented from practicing law. Putting a license on inactive status is entirely different from having a license suspended. Technically they do have licenses, but they are not currently active and can be reinstated (as you said) after meeting certain criteria.
Here is how the post I answered was worded:

Isn't it similar to other licenses that you need to update your courses to become active again or that your license will expire after too many years of no additional education....?
