Yes African-Americans have high rates of church attendance but there seems to be a disconnect because 3/4 of African- Americans babies are born out of wedlock. African-Americans are also responsible for about half of this country's murders
I consider Big Tobacco, The FDA, and most Government TRUE murderers. Collectively they equate to more Murders so to speak. Look at the each panel and you shall see face of non-blacks...Murder is Murder be it a Urban Cowboy or a Law\Professional Grad.

The Democrats don't have to work hard to get the black vote.

Romney should stress school vouchers that the black community wants, but Democrats oppose. Romney should be pro-legal immigration and stream lining it, but he should point out to the black community that illegal immigration quite possibly hurts their employment.

I can't think of any state where Blacks were instrumental in deciding the election. Certainly Blacks made a difference in Virginia and North Carolina but he would have won without those states in '08.

One thing about this Virginia poll I find interesting is that Virginia is 20% Black with essentially 100% of Blacks voting for Obama, Romney is already in the hole by 20% but he's only losing by 7% in a poll 6 months before the election.

Not exactly a bad spot to be in if you ask me. While I wouldn't say the Black vote is irrelevant it is certainly severely diminished only one party courts its favor. If that party is frozen out of power so are Blacks, not a smart way to leverage political capital IMHO.

Karl Rove has Obama and Romney either ties up or Obama leading in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina Missouri and Florida. He also has Romney only up by a slim Margin in Arizona, Texas, Kentucky Tennessee and Georgia. Other poll watchers like Nate Silver second Roves electoral calls so Romney is going to have to spend some serious money and time making sure he has a Red state basis before he tries to take any of the solid Blue obama base states which are the states Democrats have carried under Clinton, Gore and Kerry! Both Gore and Kerry came within ten votes of 270 and Obama has several states beyond that now considered solid blue Rove gives Obama 290 EV so understand Romney has to win all the toss ups all the RED statesw he has a weak grip and still take a couple of States were Obama is ahead 20 or more percent. A task for Superman not Clark Kent.

Exactly. There's absolutely no point in Republicans, Greens, Libertarians, or anyone else bothering to pointlessly try and get their votes. It is a waste of time and resources because 97% are incapable of doing anything but mindlessly pulling the lever for whatever (D) is on the ballot, regardless of any issue or any record.

The same for Republicans. You are fully aware of this trend!
Republicans our party will have a ton of explaining to do after the elections.

Clearly the Slogan should read only beat Obama, we have overlooked Politics solely to dethrone Obama.

On your second point, Romney is going to increase economic and educational opportunities for ALL Americans. He's not pandering to your ethnic bloc, and that's a good thing.
How is Mitt Romney going to increase economic and educational opportunities?

The black vote is inconsequential, and as the Hispanics continue to surpass them as the dominant minority, they will have even less pull with politicians.

What's really perplexing is that the Black community seems to think the Hispanics will be better than the liberal White sissies who currently run our government when Whitey becomes the minority (which I can't wait for). These Hispanics do not suffer from the mental disease we call "White Guilt", are strict Catholics, and do not back down from Black violence and dysfunction (see South Central, CA).
What does being Catholic have to do with hating Blacks? I'm Black and I'm Catholic.

If the Black vote really is inconsequential as you say, then hear is a question I have for you: What do you think would be beneficial for Blacks?
