Now the only question remains: who will be the conservative third party candidate in the general election?

There won't be one.

No surprise here. And Romney is now approaching majorities in upcoming primary elections. And Gingrich's recent whinefest about Florida being a 'winner take all' contest will only serve to undermine him.

The problem is - without many debates, Gingrich cannot blow hot air all over the Tea Party-heads to get them to the polls. Instead, we can hear more about moon colonies and a Yucca Mountain amusement park.

The Tea Party...whatever that is now, is not even united around Gingrich. Romney got just about as much of that vote in Fl as Gingrich. Several of the more prominent Tea Party groups have now endorsed Romney. The Memphis Tea Party for example. If one non-Romney candidate had gotten unified Tea Party and Evangelical vote, they could have been a serious contender, but so many just can't go for Newt.

It is surprising that Newt is doing that well considering the bashing he has been subjected to by the party bosses.
