Link to the Iowa results of 2008...... so you can compare with these results . Looks like Romney getting about the same number of votes, Paul getting about 150% more votes than last time. And Santorum not coming close to the number of votes Huckabee got (since they probably had a lot of the same voters). And Gingrich getting like just as many votes as McCain got in Iowa.
Now, HOW in the world do you come by that brilliant analysis?
The Iowa caucuses are not indicative of anything, really. Remember, these voters are normally what you would call the base, as are primaries in general.
Last poll I saw, Romney was cleaning up Indies on obama, who has been bleeding them for over a year.
Obama is leading in most of the polls over Romney.
romney cant even win 25 percent and will draw/lose to a candidate who would get obliterated in the general vs. obama.
romney has 3 major blocks.
1. hes mitt romney, and people get tired of 2 face.
2. hes not a conservative, and conservatives wont vote for him, tonight proves it and major conservative sites blocking his supporters prove that.
3. hes mitt romney.
Good thing he's identical to Obama, so you can shill for him with no regrets.

Apparently Iowa Republicans want 4 more years of Obama, since there is precisely 0 chance that Rick the theocratic jingoist bigot Santorum or Mitt 'I make John Kerry look downright decisive and couldn't even beat old man McCain 3 years ago' will defeat him.
I've always said that the GOP has 2 choices this election cycle: Either go for the win with the candidate that can actually draw the independent and moderate vote (Paul) or put forth a sacrificial lamb that will lose, but hopefully not embarass them too badly come November. Looks like they're opting for the latter.
With Romney, it won't quite be a Reagan vs. Mondale pubstomping, but it'll be a lot closer to that than W v. Gore.
Ahhh yes, Rasmussen. The polling agency you have to allow a 10 point curve on for "we seek out rabid right wing nutjobs for our 'impartial' polling". They were the ones who claimed Johnny POW was actually gonna win for a while :P.
I'll take these numbers right now, especially since the campaign against obama and his glorious record hasn't even begun.

Too bad you can't prove a word of the above.
