I would love to see opinions on who you think will win. Not who you HOPE will win, but who you truly EXPECT to win.

If I was in Iowa I would be out there voting for Ron Paul. That is who I hope will win.

Unfortunately I think Romney will take Iowa due to the media blackouts on Ron Paul. I really hope I am wrong. I mean I REALLY hope to be wrong on this. I will gladly be wrong.

I honestly don't know who's going to win. The "Santorum surge" is what has kind of muddled the field. I expect it to be very close for 1-2 with 3 trailing slightly.

Really a tight race at this point - Romney, Paul or Santorum can win.

Paul - has a long standing infrastructure and organization in IA and grassroots support.

Romney - has all the officials on his side after they all started coalescing around him to prevent a Paul win. He also has organization and supporters, but not to the extent Paul has.

Santorum - the media, especially CNN, has been hyping him up over the past few days so he is getting some free publicity, and he also has the advantage that the media so far is not vetting him like they did the others, so his dirty linen is not out in public yet. If he wins, he can thank the media.

I agree. Very interesting to see how the 125,000 or so Iowan's (out of 2.1 million) will vote in this non-binding glorified straw poll.

Hi there MP, I'm right there with you hoping Ron Paul wins.

It would be so refreshing wouldn't it?

Something else if he does win, more people are going to wonder.... who is this guy? That's all it takes. Once one starts seriously looking at Paul it becomes obvious that he is NOT like the other Repub goons. THAT is what more people need to realize, imo.
