It's become the most successful liberal tactic in any election, think back to Palin...

Unfortunately the conservatives are too passive to return the favor (maybe Newt will)...

I would've been proud to have him as my President. Trying to have an intelligent discussion with a lib is what's a joke not Mr. Cain.

well, I personally think he was a victim of his own party, reason being, they feared him...and so did huge corporations who are the people really running this country. They were not afraid of his color, they feared that he might actually make some changes in this country...and his own party, the GOP Candidates slandered him, or the powers that be, b/c they already know who is going to be the next president.

Also, I told my co-worker, I feared if Cain did make it in, he would end up like Kennedy did, b/c he wasn't about to be a puppet for anyone, he actually wanted to straighten this country out.

Again, the fact remains, they didn't start slandering him, until he really started to gain popularity and that alone speaks for itself.

well, you may be right but your comment could also be used in the opposite way, in other words, if this man were not a close friend of Cain's and he came forward on behalf of Cain, you could say the same thing, how does he know

personally, I believe he was slandered and I don't know the man...why? Because my prediction did come true...

I had told a co-worker if this man is going to really work hard to straighten this country out, it is going to go against the grain of those who plan to loose a lot, which are the multi rich CEO's and corporations...and when Cain started gaining the attention of a lot of people and his polls started increasing, that is exactly when all these rumors started about him.

No matter who gets elected, nothing will change for the people...nothing...it's always the same no matter who gets in...and history is constantly being repeated and our people stay intellectually stagnated...and that is the way they want it...

I am sick and tired of supposidly intellectual people constanting using the race card, or neo-progressives, or, all this being politically correct garbage...it's time we show we're a little bit more intellectual then them and stop this freaking name calling...

We're never going to get anywhere if we continue to do this...all we do is show them how stupid we are by name calling...

I don't believe it was a liberal tactic, I strongly believe, Newt and Perry feared him much more then the liberals...I mean think about it, at this particular point in time...who had to gain more by him backing out...and why?

1) How can Cain be a victim of character assassination if the allegations are not true? If he's truly innocent, his character is intact and the allegations would not faze him in the least. If he's innocent, he would simply stop playing a victim and tell his accuser(s) to "prove it." Unfortunately for Cain, it looked like the woman had some convincing phone records to show the affair... not to mention a trip to Vegas together.

2) Who on "the left" was doing the character assassination exactly? It's funny how you phrase it as though it was DEFINITELY the left, and POSSIBLY the right. Bias much? All the tough interviews he's had were on Fox Noise, so that blows your theory out of the water.

3) He would NOT be the first truly "African American President" because we already have one... and Cain himself says he rejects that moniker outright by calling himself a "Black American". How is Obama's Kenyan father NOT African exactly? Are you geographically challenged?

4) "A black man that came from nothing and worked his way up by blood and sweat. What a great role model." Sounds like our current President. Have you seen where Obama grew up? Do you consider that to be some sort of privileged childhood? Get a grip on reality and stop with your cognitive biases.

The term "African-American" is reserved for blacks that are the ancestors of American slaves. Obama has no slave background.

Obama grew up in Hawaii and attended private (i.e. white) schools.

I am convinced, that as long as Cain wasn't known by many people, all was well, but the moment he started to gain popularity, the dirt started flying, and probably by the GOP's. He scared them and everyone else, why? Because he didn't do or say what they wanted to hear...he cared about the people instead of the rich...and corporations.

When I first started watching him, I told a co-worker, that if he started to gain popularity, and was legit...they would slander him...and they did.
I am not sure Slander is the right word, it would only be the case if all the accurazations were proven totally untrue. Blast him, do what they can, to destroy him? Yes, but not slander.

Uh, right... where were you when the Democratic nomination was fought for over 6 months? Hillary went after Obama tooth and nail right up until the very end. Mrs. Clinton had a lot of supporters, blacks included.

You must have been in a coma to have missed all of that... it totally dominated all the news for months.
