HERMAN Cain will endorse Newt Gingrich today for the GOP presidential nomination, FOX 5 Atlanta reported, citing sources.
Details of a formal announcement are reportedly still being worked out but a Gingrich campaign spokesperson told the station that a 2pm press conference local time had been scheduled in New York, which would follow a meeting with Donald Trump.

It will be interesting to see if this is true or just another rumor. I am a little surprised he would endorse so soon.

Two guys who cheat on their wives, how sweet that they can support one another.

Wonderful news.

Hopefully this will cause Newt to lose some of his support.

I'm surprised Newt (or anyone else) would want his endorsement. The demo of Cain's that dropped like a big boulder was women. Like Gingrich (in particular) needs that?

So Cain really isn't "suspending" his campaign, he's quitting it because why would you endorse someone if you were just "suspending" it. Seems to me if you quit your campaign, you haven't got the same access to the money.

Aside from skirt chasers, both are big business, Wall Street kind of guys. So is Romney I guess, but Cain is not going to back him anymore than most of the right. If Cain does endorse Newt, it could be a real plus for Gingrich as he would get the stamp of approval from the perceived right. I can't believe that the T's are dumb enough to believe that Gingrich is one of them, but who knows.

I thought the same thing: is he suspending or quitting? As for getting his endorsement you know how I feel about endorsements: I don't think they really have much inpact either way.
