Yep, he is a token black guy. That's the whole reason why he's popular and why Tea Partiers are calling attention to his blackness.

And completely reasonable.

I just have to laugh because if Tea Partiers are that eager to disprove the racism charge, then it's clear that they are on the defensive, and losing strength.

Are you really excited about Cain, Flize? This guy's credentials are that he sucessfully ran a pizza chain. Seriously? This is what qualifies him to be the leader of the free world?

YouTube - ‪SA@TAC- Who's an 'Isolationist?'‬‏

Came across this, it kind of echoes my feelings about this whole "racism" issue.

Then why is Herman Cain, a conservative black businessman and radio host from Georgia, generating such excitement among the very people maligned as angry white racists? In a recent national Gallup poll of Republican and Republican-leaning Independents, Cain beat out Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, and Tim Pawlenty. Cain did even better among respondents further on the right, tying Newt Gingrich among self-identified conservatives with 10 percent.

So garnering 8% support means that yes, finally, there are no racists in the Republican/Tea Party?

Oooooooooookay, then.

There's a thread here on CD where they say exactly that.

The problem with this thread is that it assumes that Tea Baggers are supporting Cain. By and large, they aren't. They are supporting Ron Paul, a man who is affiliated with racist newsletters that were published in the 90s. So, so much for that Tea Baggers aren't racist theory.
