The current group of GOP clowns and fools makes it fertile soil for someone of real caliber to enter the field and get the nomination; that is assuming the GOP is not made up of fools. I don't want them to be - it would be a sad commentary on the US if it was.
I know very little about this guy, the little I know he appears to be one of the few GOP contenders without some serious baggage. I doubt he'll win the primary, pro gay rights and legalizing weed, good luck selling that to voters in the south and rural areas.
No it will be exciting. Not predictable like most years. Plus it gives an advantage that the media and the Obama machine will have less time to try to demonize and destroy whoever the eventual candidate will be.
He won't have to, the Republicans will be spending too much time demonizing themselves.
