Good in what way? As far as violent crime from strangers, no neighborhood here is especially bad or worse than the others. Property crime might be another matter but when that becomes a problem, people get iron bars, good fences and home security systems.

Or good as far as being near shopping or particular places? The Central area has older houses, houses with more character, better landscaping and bigger yards.

The Kern/Rim road area is absolutely beautiful. I also enjoy some of the houses over by Loretto and also the Gold, Silver Copper streets.

I like Sunset and Arizona Rio Grande ( near El Paso High). I wander around those places on foot- day and night and its nice -quiet and friendly.

We're just looking for something that's in a decent neighborhood and close to shopping/entertainment/etc. We currently live in Horizon City and I work on the West side (almost in Canutillo) so we're trying to cut the distance some. I've only lived here a few months and don't really know much about the neighborhoods around El Paso.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll have to check out those areas.
