Mitch - I think you meant to say "Говорю по-русский. Пламменны привет товарищи!" Yeah, my spoken Russian is also much better then my written Russian.
Sorry to burst your bubble and I don't mean to be rude, but...
Even this is incorrect.
That's how it supposed to be written in a proper way -
"Я говорю по-русски. Пламенный привет товарищи!"
(Don't ask. I have no idea how to explain all those grammar rules myself)
And of course feel free to correct my English if it matters.)
I took French and Russian in school. I haven't taken French since high school over 7 years ago, but can still read articles and whatnot to a pretty decent level.
What (or which?) language(s) other than English can you speak and/or read and/or understand and/or write, if any?Again, I won't post a poll because there are so many languages possible.
Thank you!
I can speak and read Spanish and Japanese. I know bits and phrases of French, German, Swedish, Russian, Chinese (can't speak it), and Italian.
I am only fluent in English. I can get by in Spanish and understand much of what people say in it. My husband is fluent in English and Tagalog. His eight sisters are all fluent in English, Tagalog, and Ilocan.
I studied German and Russian in school, but enough time has passed since I used either that I'm mostly only good for movies made with Nazi or Communist Russian villains. (It entertained my kids while watching Indiana Jones, though.)
My Spanish is good enough for eavesdropping in certain neighborhoods, but I don't really read or speak it, and I know a little bit of totally useless Mandarin.
And I used to be able to count to ten and say "push" and "don't push" in Spanish, Creole, and Vietnamese.
German (2 years in school)
French (2 years in school)
Dutch (Got quite some friends from netherlands)
Wow. Have you been moving around in Scandinavia?
