And I'm about as sad as a person can be right now. I love him dearly, and he's just a little thing. I hope he's safe and warm...

Can you rally up some neighbors and friends and pound the pavement looking for him (armed with treats like chopped up hot dogs if the dog is fearful)? Is he chipped and have tags? Can you make some flyers and pass them around/post them in the area? Also, suggest you call animal control (which may default to the police after hours) and report it, so if he gets turned in they will know your contact information.

Here's hoping he shows up soon...

He is chipped and I have called animal control. I drove around looking for him, but to no avail. At the very worst if I can't find him or he doesn't come home I hope that whomever has him (if he IS with someone) takes good care of him. Nobody could love him more than me, of that I'm sure. I miss him so bad could you please send out some good thoughts my way? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I work so many hours and haven't yet been able to talk to the neighbors, except for a couple. Thank you so very much for the kind posts.

PS. I will make up flyers.

I am so sorry about your dog and I hope you get it back soon. I would certainly contact as many neighbors as possible and get the word out it is missing and you are looking for it. You never know, one could have the dog and not know who it belongs to or maybe has seen it.

I'm so sorry. I hope you find each other.

I always recommend, EVEN IF THE YARD IS FENCED, that owners put on the leash and go out with their dogs....

Thank you all. Please don't be offended if I don't respond in due time, I'm still searching for him. Viralmd, brokencrayola, and the rest of you - I DO thank you. The big regret I have is that I didn't have a name tag made up for him that identified him and gave his address. If I don't get him back I will always feel guilty for that. He's a wonderful little dog that I rescued over one year ago. He is a HUGE pain in the ass but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. I just want him to be happy, that's all.

By the way Viralmd, I go out with him often. I take him to the doggie park every chance that I get as well. He LOVES playing with other dogs so much; there's not a mean bone in his body.
