My husband came inside last night after being out back with our dog (2 year old Lab mix) and said, "Peggy has a new dog." Peggy is one of our neighbors who is an ARF volunteer and fosters about 10 different dogs at any given time. She saw my husband outside with Shelby and yelled over, "You should see the new guy. A nine month old pure bred black lab. Are you looking for a friend for Shelby?" Evil, evil, evil woman for even planting the seed. LOL. And evil husband for even telling me. I would love to get a friend for Shelby, but with a 3 year old daughter, a 7 month old baby, 3 cats (one of which will probably suffocate one of us if we bring one more animal into the house-she hates the dog-LOL), I believe there is no more room at the inn. I told him that he has to go out with Shelby until that Lab is adopted because if I see him, it will be all over. LOL.

Aw...come on...You know you are seriously considering it! What's one more? And, added bonus, he's probably housebroken already! Just let him play with Shelby once...twice...He's yours!

LOL its the oldest foster trick in the book. You should be flattered. You must be a very good dog owner as we rescuers/fosterers are very picky about who our fur-kids go to. Are you sure you don't need another Lab? One for each of you

LOL-I did think this last night after my husband said something. I also thought, Oh, NOW we're good enough-LOL. They wouldn't let us adopt before we got Shelby because of the age of our daughter. I guess it helps that she sees that we're able to throw a frisbee for the dog and push our daughter on the swing at the same time without going cuckoo. LOL.

I think poor Shelby needs a dog to keep her company - everyone else has another of his/her kind to bond with, why not Shelby? I'm going to have to turn you in for dog dicrimination! LOL

UGH....now I'm inflicting the punishment on myself....I went to the ARF website to see if there was a picture...there was Husband said Peggy was talking him up again this morning. I told him to ask her if she would let the little guy come over and play with Shelby a little to see how they get along...I've got to be out of my every loving mind to even be thinking about it. Where is the person on here who is going to tell me "Don't do it!"?
