I use a groomer, she bathes, grooms, and clips the nails every month. The groomer said as soon as she puts the dog on the table and turns on the clippers the dog settles down and knows what is coming next. She no longer has to endure all the clips, combing, and pampering she did while she was competing in dog shows.
Once a month. We also clip his nails at that time too. He hates getting baths but he'd smell so bad without them. We use Mane & Tail shampoo for him, it has a pleasant smell. My husband bathes him in our upstairs "guest" bathroom, since it has a tub and detachable shower head. Our bathroom has a dumb small walk-in shower, so the dog would not like that very much!
At least once a week. Sometimes more depending on what he's rolled in or where we've been to play. He also goes to the groomer every 6 weeks for the full clip/bath/nails treatment.
